frustraiting paint

hi im trying to paint part of a 2001 scenic rear door , got the paint code went to halfords they made the paint to the code ,the problems i have is the car paint is mv632 (platinum silver) which has a faint blue hint , firstly what is the correct primer and is their a specific laquer . i tried a part and the colour seems dark , i did use grey primer ?

You have to remember you are trying to match new paint to 15 year old paint that is on the car, which will be weathered and faded etc.

As said the car has weathered and faded a paint shop it would be "washed" in to blend and polished in
Primer is grey and just normal clear lacquer

It is easier to take it apart than to put it back together
