Megane tourer & door noise problem

I recently bought a 2010 Megane tourer I Music and love the car except for 2 problems, both with the drivers door. One is:-
A loud crack noise everytime the door is opened to about half way. No amount of grease has sorted this and,

When your driving, an annoying plastic crack type noise. You hear it everytime you go over a bump, It's from somewhere on the drivers door. If if the door panel isn't seated right but it is. Is there anything I can do ? and are both noises related as their from the same door
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Megane tourer & door noise problem

This problem has been discussed before on other threads (but maybe on different models). If you do a forum search you will probably find something relevant.
iirc the only solution is to replace part of the linkage in the door strap mechanism.

Don't take without giving in return

Re: Megane tourer & door noise problem

I've read a few threads and some of the remedies did not work for me.

Re: Megane tourer & door noise problem

As RW says may require new door strap ...are you using grease or WD40 to lubricate ...I use white lithium grease on car door hinges

It is easier to take it apart than to put it back together

Re: Megane tourer & door noise problem

I used a spray grease I had for my bike, it's normally good. I only use DW40 when somethings ceased up never to lube something. Are we talking about a straw nozzle and going into the door casing to spray there ?
