Paint - Sun Cream!

Car went into Yeovil today to have them look at and report back on a few issues.

One of these was to do with some rather off patches that have appears onthe paintwork.

They initially told me that this looked like the effects of pressing a freshly sun-creamed body against the car.

The sales manager then went on to say that actually, he'd never seen such an effect on the paintwork before.

Now... we have a friend up in Watford with a Scenic and he has the same problem.

They did manage to polish some of this out today and we've been asked to keep an eye on it over the next couple of days to see if the blemish comes through again, indicating that the polish may just have smoothed over the fault as opped to it actually lifting from the surface.

Has anyone elses come across such a tale?

Can you post some pics of the effected area?.We have had some oddities reported before, but they have only ever been small blemishes.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
