Replacing front bumper and n/s front wing

Had an accident a few months ago requiring front bumper and n/s front wing to be replaced (cosmetic reasons largely) Basically, how hard a job is this to do? Haynes doesn't really offer much advice here. I'm hoping there's no welding involved... anyone done this before?

I have got to change the passenger wing on my megane. I know it is bolted on, be it quite a few i think but no welding. I am guessing that the older Clio is the same, however it is just a guess tbh.

Same with the front bumper iirc, not sure what else has got to be removed though. My meg use's the star type screws for the bumper, is it the torx one's or something.

TH efron tbumper definitely is held on by bolts. Have a look around the top of the wings for bolts (usually 10mm)

It would certainly be a lot easier if you have someone to help you support the panels as you are undoing/refitting the fixings.

I'd probably want the front end on axle stands in case the wheels need removal, and it would also give more access for behind the bumper.

Naturally, you will have the replacement panels to use as a guide for where your existing bolt holes are, and I would presume is bumper off - then wing; and reverse that order for reifitting.

It may be an idea to place cardboard under where you are working, in case any obscure (but necessary) fixings fall onto the ground. It will help to make them more visible.

If you are needing to paint the panels yourself - its a lot easier to do this before fitting (and indoors - if you can).

Best of luck, if I can offer any advice - please ask away.

This job should never be complete - the day I think I've done it all, is the day I resign.

On later models the front wing is plastic like the bumper ... so I wouldn't go near it with a welding torch!!

Both should just be bolted on ....
