I tought the wings were plastic on the late Scenics?.This means that the colour is impregnated into the material?.Maybe not all Scenics have them, but the 03 plate one we sold not so long ago definately had plastic wings.

If the above is the case, then really you've got to be either looking for a new wing from Renault,or a second hand one. There a number of breaker searches on the internet but I tend to use and usually have sucess with them.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

Really appreciate all your help with this, I have found several new wings for sale on ebay and nicedeals for just over 30 which isn't too bad at all.

Slightly concerned about the comment about the colour being impregnated into the wing - can anyone shed any light on this?

I thought it would just be a case of getting the new wing and getting it sprayed?

I will also try findapart - have you had success finding parts int he right colour?

They are plastic Lag, but I think they are painted.

You'd have a bit of bother pigmenting the plastic with metallic finish

I (or should I say someone) scratched the wheel cover on my RX4 and I'm pretty sure that it was lacquer, paint and primer.

Must admit, I always thought they were plastic panels just painted. I thought the only thing you had to do was use a specific plastic primer to help the paint adhere to stop it flaking off when the plastic flexed.

Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow...

Wanna see what I drive? No pics of the latest Passat, but you can see the Scenic II here and the CB1000R here!
