Laguna child locks

2002 laguna dinamique. Anyone know how to disable the child locks. The handbook shows a lever that you move either up or down, but on mine there is no lever, in its place there is a black hollow torpedo shaped peice of plastic which does not move. There is no function on the card key to disable them either.
Its a nuisance having to get out every time to let people out.

Hi Peterpan,

The child locks on the Laguna II are electronic. There is a switch on the drivers side electric window switches that locks the rear doors and cuts power to the rear windows. Just below the 4 window switches with what looks like a pic of a person on it.

As far as I know there is no mechanical version on the rear doors. I might be wrong though as I've never used it on mine! The only thing a can remember seeing in that area is a white circle type thing to lock the rear doors manualy with the emergency key. Which is pointless as if you ever have to lock the doors manually the boot stays unlocked!

I have however leaned on the switch acidently stopping the rear windows and doors opening

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you take the wall with you.
