Manually unlock and lock the boot?

Hi all,

First question and after an hour of trawling I can't find any answers to it so I'll post away.

My central locking works fine, but as a habit I oil the manual locks every month or so with WD40 to ensure if it packs up they're not stuck. However I can't lock or unlock the boot manually?!

Its a new car for me (as details in signature) and there appears to be a place for the key to go but the metal bit you'd push the key through doesn't budge. Tried leaving WD40 to penetrate but with no affect.

Any ideas would be awesome.

Or am I just being stupid and the clio's boot can't be locked or unlocked manually with the key?
