A quick fix is to lubricate the rubber seal on the sun roof with wd40, also to tighten up the torx screws on the sunroof glass behind the two plastic covers (these slide off). then tighten up the sunroof opening handle, this will pull the glass tighter onto the seals.

This may also help to keep the rain out.

I think most clios rattle from the sunroof so your not alone m8.

Smile Sunroof

I have the same problem with my 02 clio but will try the WD40 trick and tightening the screws this weekend so hopefully that will work. I find if you open it when driving the rattling disappears. Can't really do that at the moment with our lovely weather!
Though my friend who also has a clio had some rattling then one day she went out and her sunroof had leaked in and her car was soaked. She's had to replace the seal which cost nearly 200. So beware!

A wipe of Vaseline works on mine.

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?

If you find a fix for your problem please let us know it will help others.

pour washing up liquid on the joints, support clip and spring of the handle, where the creakes are from, also the 2 front hinges tighten and lubricate with the same !!.. take the sun roof out to do this ... its a great lubricant and turnes to a paste when dry to continue to lubricate.

just wipe up the excess when done

works a treat .. not a murmer out of mine now !!!
