sun roof leaked soaked electrics

Water in electrics caused all kinds of problems but most now fixed; two remain however:-

1. All electrical stuff back working except the sunroof stuck at 1 inch open and refuses to budge - any ideas on how to get it working again, and can it be closed by manually turning the motor etc? (windows working ok and roof covered over with plastic sheet).

2. The drivers side sunroof drain seems to be blocked causing the overflow and above problem - any ideas on how to clear it out and where does the bottom end of the drain tube go to, ie where does the water drain overboard - I suspect behind the wheel in the front wing is, this correct?

3. Is there likely to be any lasting effect/damage to the electrical stuff, rust in control boxes etc or are these all out of the way?

Appreciate any help/advice on this.

Lightbulb Blocked drains

I had the same problem a while ago. The drains outlet is behind the front wheel arch covers to the rear of the front wheels.Releasing one screw and one nut will give you enough freedom of movement to get behind cover. There was a lot of filth build up behind to clear out, then it is easy to clear any blockage in the flap at the end of the drain tube. Best to do both side whilst your at it. I did mine without removing the wheels but removal would make job easier.
