Sunroof Leak

Hi all. Have a 2002 Laguna Estate 1.9 dCi.
I've had the sunroof checked by my garage who say the seal is in-tact and not perished, and the drain holes have also been checked. This only happens when I park the car pointing nose-down on a hill and when it rains quite heavily. Water is getting in and running to the foot wells. Any ideas - can the drain holes become overwhelmed if its pointing downhill and its raining heavily?

yes a common problem but easily fixed. there is a drain hole in each of the 4 corners of the sunroof. the front ones commonly get blocked at the bottom end. the drains exit behind the wheel arch trim to the rear of the front wings. Over time muck builds up behind the wheel arch covers which prevents the sunroof drains emptying. to fix this remove the screw that secures the arch trim to the wing and the nut that secures the wheel trim to the chassis (both to the rear of the front wheel). this will give you enough access to pull the wheel arch trim away so that you can clear out any muck and clear the sunroof drain holes.
