Grand Scenic Passenger Door Glass

Hello all,

Yesterday I opened the passenger door glass. There was a metallic noise and the window wouldnt come back up.
Managed to get part of the door panel off and I can see the back of the motor with a load of cable unwound in the door space.

a) Any suggestions about what I need ?
b) Are there instructions anywhere to help me get the door panel fully off.

You need a new window regulator mate. Them failing is a common fault Im afraid. You can pick them up on ebay for about 50 - 60.

If you search the forum for Window regulator replacement Im sure you will find what you are after.

You can buy a kit to replace the cables on eBay or you can get pattern parts to replace the entire regulator assy.

really depends on how handy you are.

One of our members has recently bought the kit, hang on I'll find a link to the thread

Here you go

The links to the item are in the my post at the top of the page. You can see that Raanan had to modify the clips a little...

If you go this route, confirm the fitment with the seller

EDIT ~ Oh hang on, you have a Scenic II that won't work for you

but here's the wire

This fault is usually the plastic clip broken off the transport channel of the regulator, just bought a pair of replacements of ebay for 9. Need a bit of careful handling to replace and re-thread wiring, but it's a fairly reasonable DIY repair. The new clip is a Renault upgraded part.
There's a full tutorial on here somewhere, I'll post a link when I can find it.
