Broken door lock pull rod

I have a 2000 Espace and the inner door handle connecting rod has come off how can I get the rod back in possision

First you have to dissmantle the door. Since I own a clio a cannot tell you the exact procedure. But before even dissmantle you should remove only the inner handle to ensure that the rod is connected on it and hasn't broken. If it is you continue with dismantling.

Then refer here to see where are the rods connected on the door lock. It's pretty much same on all models/locks. Then you can reconnect the inner handle door. With the door dismantled you can pull the rod to see if it reacts with the door lock.

For you to have less things to do, I suggest not to remove the door lock but try to reseat the rod with the lock in its place. Also be carefull not to remove any other rods from the lock. Also search for any circle cap on the door and near the lock position that can help you look through the metal on the lock itself, usually where the inner handle rod should be placed
