Problem is now sorted, not the Jet but the pipe.
Where it comes out of the roof line into the tailgate, the grommet was being fouled by the tailgate when opened and shut, which had worn a hole in the pipe.
Pulled grommet out, cut out the damaged section and replaced, now works.
Currently in bangman's garage:
2005 Renault Scenic II Maxim 2ltr VVT
