Wing Mirror trim

I got my Grand Scenic from auction; exMotability.
Typical of a Motability car, it has a few bumps on each corner which I can live with.
However, the passenger wing mirror is broken but it's only the black trim that's damaged, not the shell itself.
Can the trims be purchased separately or is it a complete new/replacement mirror?

Re: Wing Mirror trim

yes they can be purchased seperatly, but its gonna be expensive and they dont come painted in other than matt primer.

probably better to try a breakers yard for a matching colour one. dont use motofactors or halfords for sourcing the paint, thier paint has possibly been sitting on the shelf for up to a couple of years, so it settles and goes off colour!

it will need to be made up by a specialist paint supplier in a 400ml spray tin for about a tenner. metalic paints dont like standing on shelves for long periods of time, so is always better to have one made up just before you need it.

Re: Wing Mirror trim

Hi there.

Can I ask what damage the black parts have incurred?

Is it scuffing, or are bits broken off?

A pic would probably be best if you can.

Thanks in advance,
