Renault Megane 2 - CC Boot Gas Strut

I am looking to replace the offside gas strut on my 2005 Megane convertable, it appears the severe frost has killed it!
I have managed to find a replacement, but was wondering how easy it is to replace? It looks like they just pop out, with smoe force applied? Is that the case and how easy do the come off and go back on?

Re: Renault Megane 2 - CC Boot Gas Strut

They usually have a metal spring clip holding the ball and socket joint together,if there is one present then all you do is hook the clip out with a small screwdriver, pull the joint apart, then you just pop the new one in place.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
