got to say i was happy my Lag 2 had its undertray the other day whlist messing about under the bonnet, the dropped item didnt fall on the road and get lost :D, i think as well the noise i get at 80+ is the tray flapping about so it may get removed or at the very least make sure its fitted correctly

Re: Undertray Poll

Im glad mine has an under-tray, even though its seems such a PITA to have to remove it before doing any work. When the gearbox fell of because i didnt tighten the bolt properly The under-tray caught the nut for me. Otherwise i wouldn't have been able to fix it on the side of the road.

The Lord said unto Sven, "Though shalt not put thine 2-stroke V8 outboard into the hallowed Volvo, for it would be an abomination in the eyes of the Lord." But Sven disobeyed our Lord God and installed it anyway. The Lord was displeased but Sven had faith in his creation. Upon the Amazon's first start, the sounds of eight powerful trumpets rang through the heavens and to the ears of our Lord. The Lord looked upon Sven among the blue smoke and smiled. For in his eyes, he knew it was righteous.

Re: Undertray Poll

Any advise about fitting an under tray? I've just obtained one and a fitting kit from eBay . THe fitting kit has 8 5mm bolts and 4 plastic square threaded inserts and 4 metal clips which a screw fitts into. I've not had a chance to have a look under the car yet as it's either wet or snowing.

Sounds like the kit includes the fixings that either would be in the chassis or alternatives...my Scenic has push in "nuts" that happily spin when I try to undo the bolts so staying there till it has to come off.
Not sure if the Lag would use same or if the square plugs were used instead.
I suspect that the clips go onto another tray or bumper while the square plugs into chassis.
Quite possibly tabs or similar on the tray go into holes... certainly the case with my rear tray.
Must admit I'd leave it till spring and warmer, drier weather
