under the renault clio

what is the black plastic casing under the renault clio mk1front end,mine worked its way loose but dont seem to have clicked in firm enough when put back,any tips ?

Is it the gearbox Splash gaurd? Sounds like it. Try and get a photo of it up.
If so it has loops that hoop over bolts. If its not clipping over the bolts could try cable ties?
Mines been sat in the boot for ages and i've been told not to worry about it too much, though i expect it helps the sump bolt not get so corroded into place.
