Go faster, more power -help my brakes don't work

Maybe it's just me getting cynical in my old age - but why do many drivers think they can increase the power output of an engine by bolting on a few cheap bits. Ask any specialist and he'she will tell you simply this - "if it ain't broke don't fix it" Turning and modding cars is an expensive business. No point in tweeking the engine if the brakes and suspension don't match. The easiest way to make a car go faster is to reduce its weight. Get rid of the uneccessary crud that lying around inside and join Weigh****chers.
