Very complex, also which part connects to the screen????
Actually quite simple.

The radio aerial lead first goes to the GPS dash unit to pick up the TMC signals.

A lead (sometimes missing) then goes from an output on the GPS unit to take the RF to the radio.

The RF lead going to the GPS CD unit is (as you say) the GPS aerial signal.

I modified the FM aerial signal on my Lagina with a splitter.
The pass through on the original design gives a 3dB signal reduction.
