My names gonna be mud in Notts if the seals disintegrate.

Shouldn't. Minimum spec would be Butyl rubber for the heat resistance, possibly a higher grade elastomer. And should be petroleum products (such as oils and diesel) resistant.
Older Nitrile seals would swell and soften in petrol but even with them, diesel and parafin had little if any effect
Currently in Dancingdad's garage:
