Hi there, do the hazard lights flash when you set/deactivate the alarm? If they do, then its more likely that your problem is with the hazard switch itself rather than the wiring.
If your knowledge of cars is limited, it may save a lot of grief by taking the car to an auto electrician who can repair the problem without possibly creating more issues.
Sorry if my answer sounds a bit blunt, but I've seen all too often the mess/expense that people get into because they ended up over their heads.
