point taken about insurance but so does leaving the vehicle unlocked all the time which is what I was having to do so as not to wake the neighbours up. At least I can lock my vehicle and sleep easily not worrying if the alarm was going to go off...had to sleep with keycard in reach.
Technician informed me that it was likely that either one of the 2 sensors inside or the alarm unit itself was faulty.
This can wait until my next service when I will have to pay the extortionate Renault hourly rates for them to do problem find.
