It'll be bent valves, pistons don't bend.
TBH, it sounds like the car was more than a bit past it's best, and given that the highest value part (the engine), is pretty-much scrap metal; then all you have left are ropey panels and interior. I don't know what the wheels are like - they might be worth something if in good nick, but then again - do you want the effort in sourcing a set of steelies just on the off-chance you can sell them on?

You can shop around for labour, and any ancillaries the engine doesn't come with, can be sourced from your own.
