The next thing I did was give the caliper and bracket a coat of Rust Remedy to passivate the surface.
This caliper has been treated with Loctite 7503. Since doing this I've found that Toolstation sell a similar product but you get more for your money.

The final step was to paint the parts with high temperature Aluminium paint. I've done this on my XM and it seems to last reasonably well.

If this is a bit bright for your purpose I've found that Toolstation sell a cold gavanising spray that's a sort of dark green/grey colour. I've got a tin to try but don't yet if it's as good as it claims.

Scenic 2 1.9 DCi 130. Scenic 2 1.5 DCi 100. Citroen XM SED
