Hi ChrisG - excellent post. Apparently that's what Renault recommend. But I've heard another solution from a guy who fits double glazing windows to houses. He removed the sunroof frame cleaned and dried it well out with a hairdryer. Wiped it down with meths and applied a thick bead of high-quality clear silicone around the frame and left it to dry for a day until the silicone had become firm (soft plastic consistency). He then refitted the sunroof and has had no probs since. Apparently leaving the silicone to dry acts as a gasket which can be compressed during fitting.
P.S. I have a similar prob with the infra-red receiver - You say you got a replacement for £30 - would mind letting us know where as I can't seem to source one in my locality.
Well done and many thanks for an interesting post!
