Re: Renault - Scenic I - Pollen Cabin Filter Location

00 Renault Scenic 1 - 1.4 RXE

When I took off the cabin filter cover, the opening is smaller than the filter and it also tapers at both ends with protruding lugs along the straight sides
It is not rectangular like the filter, though the filiter does have a slight taper on one end.

I would have to squash the filter to get it past the protruding lugs on the opening.

There was no filter already fitted so I have nothing to compare it with and I am wondering if there should be some sort of cartridge that the filter fits in to before it's inserted.

Any ideas?
