The irony is that they could have done this 12 months ago, when I first reported the issue - why did it take 12 mths of communications (letters, phone calls, CEO/Chairman intervention, Watchdog/Media coverage) and more importantly 1000+ cases for them to action...

...and Renault states that customer safety is of "paramount importance".

Absurd hey?

It's not over aim is for VOSA to admit a problem exists and get Renault to issue a recall - and ensure that the design is changed....and for Renault to admit that there is an issue and accept liability relating to the incidents caused by this issue - hence cough up!

This would be when we should all be celebrating....fingers crossed!

I just hope no one has died because of this issue!
