As said before, by Webcode - the main issue with unreliability is long service intervals and incorrect
being used. If the
is changed every 9,000 miles and fully synthetic
used the 1.9dci stands a much better chance. I new of some of the horror stories before we bought our 1.9dci but still went ahead because no other car could compete for value for money,looks or toys.
There is good and bad for all cars, there are too many on the road for all Lagg II dcis to be useless.
As for economy we get 50mpg ave with everyday driving, country lanes, b roads,a roads and queues. On a decent run we get over 55mpg average.
