Welcome to the forum.
The suspension arm takes that time to change because Renault designed it that way!The bolt that goes through the back of the arm comes from the top down,so you have to drop the subframe down to get the bl00dy thing out.I think 3.5 hours is a bit excessive,but it isn't an easy job.
If the bolt went through the other way,the arm could be changed in less than half the time......don't you just love car designers.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
