The rear brake caliper guide pins on the Kangoo Trekka are different.
The top pin has a round disc shaped weight attached to the securing bolt.
The top pin moves freely in its hole.
The lower guide pin has no weight, but the last two cms of the pin has a fluted rubber cylindrical seal fitted.
The lower pin is very hard to move, in spite of being cleaned (WD40) and lightly greased.
I can't believe the lower guide pin is designed to be so stiff, but no amount of cleaning or lubricating will free it. The rubber seal seems to be intended to restrict movement.
I am baffled by the purpose of the weight, and by the rubber seal, but more importantly would like to put the brakes back together so they work properly. Anyone familiar with Trekka rear brake calipers?
