Re: Brake Pedal Hiss when pressed down
The Hiss is normal, when you press the brake, a valve opens to allow the servo to assist pedal pressure. the hiss is it doing it's job. No hiss = HEAVY brakes.
As for the brake fault, check the brake fluid level. Tis the most common cause of "brake fault" messages.
DO NOT top it up with DOT 5, anything DOT4 or 5.1 is OK. DOT 5 will rot the seals in your car.
