Re: new shape clio problems?

I wouldn't have thought there would be many problems with the Clio IV. I drive the immediate previous model and it has been perfect over 41,000 miles since new. Clios are pretty well-engineered and reliable cars in my experience.

However, I did have a Clio IV as a loan car once (1.2 16V) and I was rather disappointed with it. The interior quality was not very good (a known Clio shortcoming) and, like Mr Coup above, I found the iPad thing in the middle of the dashboard very ugly and covered in fingerprints, which one could not avoid. Also, the engine was not to my liking, but that is because I much prefer diesels.

I would probably wait until the first facelift and get one then. As fantastic as the 1.5 dCi engine is, I think there's an update coming soon and I am going to go for that. I also think the Clio could do with six gears rather than five.
