Question Indicator light is stuck on

We bought a 2002 renault Laguna 1.9dci sports tourer 2 weeks ago and although we love the car have a few problems. The left indicator light(back, side & front) will not go out. The light stays on continuously, not flashing, even once the car is not running. The last two nights we have locked the car and the light is off, checked again before we've gone to bed and still off but our neighbour says it was on when hes gone to work in the morning and subsequently the battery is normally dead when we go to start it as its been on most of the night. We thought this could possibly be a fault with the immobiliser/alarm but not sure. Does anyone have any ideas that could put us in the right direction, we would be very grateful.
