The parking brake (handbrake) warning light on the dash board is constantly on, I used to be able to knock it off by playing with the manual overide handle, but not any more. The car also "ticks" loud and fast about 2 minutes after it has been locked up, it then ticks until opened again, the ticking goes off whne the car is unlocked. has anybody else had this problem ???????
Shame you didn't get a reply sooner. Did you keep the car?

Was the handbrake trying to tighten? It self adjusts for 24 hours after parking to allow for the brakes to cool.
