I know that the autoboxes in renault used to be considered weak + unreliable but with the recent alliance with Nissan comes the new improved CVT system ( constantly variable transmission ).

Heavy rear tyre wear has been reported for owners opting for the better looking 17" alloys so maybe some owners here could advise if the 16" rims would be a better choice in terms of running costs.

I am not convinced that the auto handbrake system is without it's pitfalls and I would like to know how the hell you release the handbrake in the event of a system failure ?

Ask the dealer if their is a manual release as I beleive the failure mode applies the handbrake.
