Grand scenic 3 spongy brakes
2010 Grand Scenic 3 1.5dci.
I have probably driven this car 4 times since we bought it last June (wifes car). 5 weeks after buying it the clutch slave cylinder failed and had to be replaced.
I have driven it couple of time this week as I need to move a lot of stuff around and thought the brakes feel very spongy compared to my car.
I have bled the system completely twice using a pressurised system and manually pumping up the pedal hard 5 times and then letting the fluid out whilst the pedal is depressed. I bled diagonally i.e. passenger front then driver rear.
Engine off, pedal is rock hard and doesn't creep down however start the engine and I would expect it to drop a bit due to the brake servo function but it creeps slowly most of the way down.
I'm thinking this isn't right but can't understand why it is rock hard when the engine is off and only creeps when the engine is running unless thats the way it is meant to be?
Car stops fine and holds on a hill etc, you really have to push hard to get it to go down as described above but with the engine off I can practically staff on it and it is un-wavering?
Your ideas/guidance would be gratefully received, thanks in advance.
