Hi Roy, Out of curiosity what is a V-matic all about? Is it a semi-automatic? Sounds like you still have a clutch pedal?
Guess a spring has cracked in the friction plate...wonder if it was affected by too much throttle or not enough throttle (not criticising your driving prowess btw .. just thinking about possible causes).
I think the japanese had a reputation from years back for the trend to fit smaller clutches in their designs to make them lighter to operate.
