Hi Nidger - Zero is zero and never can be anything else. Turn the knob to "0" and then have your lamps aligned - the higher the number the lower the lights will be - if they are searching for airplanes when set at zero thye must be miles out. Under law any headlamp adjustment system must not be capable of moving the lamps higher than the setting approved by MOT.
