It appears to be stuck and it I have tried to shut it by driving it forward with a screwdriver but it is locked up.
The local agent and the Haynes manual say they are not servicable and even worse I think they come as a pair. The local NZ agent said they have replaced one under warranty but the price of the unit was around NZ$5000 - more than the value of the car!
Anyone had this problem?
Have you taken the sunroof out to look at it? My sunroof originally wouldn't shut, it was sticking somewhere, so I unscrewed 4 bolts from the inside which allows you to lift out the glass panel. I then managed to push something which ebabled the mechanism to move ok. Opened and closed it a couple of times, replaced the glass and now ok (Although it does make a clink everynow and then after I have closed the sunroof and have driven for a bit!
