Ive had a look and measured a little.There isnt enough clearance on the outer edge to accomodate an extra 7.5mm.

There is on the main caliper part but not on the "floating calipers" I dont know what theyre called really,but seem to be spring loaded.
Strut mounting points may be the same .. but looks like would have to get complete what end.

Yeh RW.. it was a case of .. hey If i can get an extra cm for appearance thrown in,, why not,aside from a lil extra stopping power.. but since the 296 mm seems to be fitted to only 130 mph + capable versions.
Ill console myself,that Ill continue to "tune" for reduced unsprung weight

As an aside.. the disc wear lip on mine, both front and back using the "finger feel" test seems to be more prounounced on the outboard disc edge.

Currently in coup's garage:
RM III coupe 1.5dci FVT,Audi TT Mk1 ,a bike and too much rubbish.
