Newbie in need!

Hey all, newbie here,

Ive found myself in the ownership (actually my partners new business van) a 52 plate 1.9 kangoo (non turbo ) its got a a bit of squeaking at idle, and runs pretty rough too.

Its done 81000, but the last service stamp is at 60000!

Its obviously in need of service!

does this squeaking sound like a timing belt on its way out, and would this cause the rough idle?

Im fairly mechanically minded but ive never owned an oil burner before and my usual drive is a swiss watch like 4.6 range rover so im a bit wary of sticking my oar in without being clued up first!
How easy is the timing belt cdhange on one of these things? is it a driveway job, or something i should take to renault, and if so, what sort of am i looking at?

Sorry for the long post, its gonna be a steep learning curve, but its gotta be done, other than the above proibs, its a great lil van!

thanks in advance for any help offered!

Currently in ukpete's garage:
kangoo 1.9d
