Re: How necessary is a Bumper undertray?
I've been given to understand that it's primary role is the keep road water spray out of the engine bay because of all the electronics and sensors etc. in there, which will not enjoy being sprayed energetically with dirty water at all. Speshly going through puddles / surface water.
So I think it's essential, proof of pudding, next time you're caught out on the motorway in a torrential downpour of the type where it's like god has just emptied his bath
