Front windscreen wiper motor - Clio MK2

Hi all.

I have a Renault Clio MK2 and the motor for the front windscreen burnt out the other day.

Thinking it would be an easy job I went ahead and bought the replacement parts so that I could remove the old motor and attach the new one.

Now I've just had a look under the hood of my car (see attached pic) and I know the motor and bracket are somewhere at the back of those two black panels in the upper part of the picture, but I'm not 100% how to get to the motor, or for that matter how to remove these panels.

If someone could point me in the right direction as to how to do this that would be great.

Cheers

Hi madnoel10 - Thanks for the response.

It seems pretty obvious how I remove the larger wiper of the two (the one that's connected to the car in two locations) - but how is the other wiper removed?

Whereas the other two connections have rubber seals that conceal a nut this connector seems slightly different.

Thanks again.

Hi Guys - so I finally got a windscreen wiper motor / bracket setup that actually fitted my car.

The original I got from eBay was a 5 pin and my car needed a 4 - so it's been a good 2 weeks now since I've had use of windscreen wipers.

Anyway, I've changed them and before I put the blades on I started the car to do a bit of a test and the new ones just seemed as dead as the old ones. I get literally no movement from them whatsoever.

Now I'm wondering what could be causing this? Like for example does the battery need disconnecting when fitting new parts so that the car does a reset, or could it be a fuse issue? And if it is a Fuse issue where in the fuse box next to the battery is the wiper fuse?

Thanks again - Craig
