Unhappy Clio relay box ..

I have a clio who's wipers refuse to work. I can hear a relay clicking when the lever is operated but power doesn't seem to be getting to the wiper motor plug. How can remove the relay box to get to the relays? ... or do I have to remove it to get acces to them ?

The relay box sits just to the left of the glove box with 3 plugs going into it. Anyone got any ideas?

btw .. the rear wipers work ok

Re: Clio relay box ..

Hello and welcome to the forum.

What age is the Clio?.From the Clio 2 onwards there are no relays for the wipers as such, the function is controlled by the UCH .

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

Thanks Lagtdi .. I discovered that yesterday afternoon when I eventually prized the unit out of the car. So from the discription you kindly added, it doesn't look like I can just get a spare one from a scrap yard and fit it .. I'll have to get a new beast matched to the existing keys from Renault ?? ... It might be cheaper to move to a country where it doesn't rain .. (

Re: Clio relay box ..

I think I an right in this, with the ignition and wipers switched on you should have a live to the motor, the UCH controls the earth connection so if you don't have a live on the green wire it may not be the UCH .

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?

If you find a fix for your problem please let us know it will help others.
