Can any one help

My dash board or instrment panel will not display. The car was involvled in a minor accident which need the fog lights changing. since then the intrument panel will not illuminate. I have taken it to my local dealer and they say i require a whole new intrument panel, but i am convinced that it may be resolved by something a litttle cheaper. Can anyone help?

welcome to the forums billclegg.

I am moving this post to the electronics forum...perhaps a member there can help you.

it does seem a bit extreme to replace the whole dash

whilst your waiting for replies try a forum search here using such keywords as dashboard etc and see if anyones had simular never know...your answer may be there.

Thumbs up Welcome

Hi there and welcome to Renault Forums, sounds as though one of the multi-plugs at the back of the dash display may be loose but I'm sure someone will give you some advice soon

I cannot imagine how a broken spotlight should necessitate the exchange of a whole instrument panel. Has the spotlight been replaced yet? You may well find that the service will resume when this has been done, especially if some wiring has also been damaged and is subsequently repaired. There is no telling, in this ethereal age of electronic management, how a minor problem will manifest itself; so it is always worth a try.
