Laguna 1 aerial

The Laguna 1 has a real aerial unlike the mk2 but unfortunately like most aerials the connections can suffer from corrosion over time particularly where it makes contact with the body. Try taking it off and cleaning the metal where it makes contact with the body.

Another problem is that coaxial cable is second only to a sponge for sucking up water and I bet this is where the problem is.

You could replace the cable but its better to replace the aerial completely with a good quality after market one. Don't go for an amplied one as they can troublesome interference wise.
