Renault Laguna II 1.9DCI ABS Warning Light

Can anyone help?
I have a Renault Laguna II 1.9DCI Dynamique and it has failed the MOT test due to the ABS warning light being on.
I had to have the ball joints replaced and the chap said that this had caused the ABS warning lihgt to come on.
Can anyone tell me how you turn off the ABS warning light?

It could be that the sensor was knocked or damaged when the CV joints were taken off. If it was done recently I would take it back to the garage and ask them to fix it as this was not a problem before they worked on the car

Are you saying that the light wasn't on before you had the ball joints changed...?

If so,Chris is right, and also it is the garages problem, not yours! They must have done something to upset the ABS system so it is down to them to sort it.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....

If you found a way to turn off the ABS warning light it could still fail the MOT because it should come on briefly when you switch the ignition on.
