Fog lights

I have a laguna 1999 1.8 RT, it has no fog lights fitted and would like to fit some and im hoping to get some from my friend.

Does anyone know if the wiring is fitted to where the blanking covers? I know things are wired into cars and are just not fitted.

Worth a try.

Fiddler tried this and ultimately succeeded, though it was a bit of a nightmare.

Personally, I'd buy and fit the proper lamps, but just wire them as you would a normal set of after-fit fog lamps, rather than trying to use the existing wiring.

If you want the factory look inside too, then you'll need to buy the proper stalk and meter out the fog-light output pin on it. Personally, I'd just fit an extra switch and warning light in the dash somewhere. This will be cheaper and much more straightforward, and will have the added bonus of allowing you to use the rear fogs without the front (the proper switch won't let you do that.)

Bit of a nightmare Horatio!! Don't know what you mean lol!
Its all hunky dory now its apid for and forgotten!
Seriously though Highlander - unless you have a good idea of where the wires run etc etc Horatio gives good advice - it took a renault dealer a couple of days almost constant work to sort mine out!

If you do want to go ahead - I got the stalk off e-bay -but there are 2 different stalks both for operating fogs - I think I detailed the problem in my thread horation linked to - just be aware it is not so straight forward!

Good luck though cos now they are on they do make a difference to the general gloom that is my headlights.
