Unhappy key card new or second hand ?

keycard programing
some people say they bought second hand cards of e bay and they have had them reprogramed to work on there cars saveing a lot of money

and some people say it cant be done i scratch my head in frustration my card is beging to play up i press the doors open switch and it doesnt work so i press a cpl of times and hey pressto ive treid changeing batterie and that hasnt helped so do i buy a new card from renault new mortage required or can i buy one of e bay and get it programed i have also seen one on ebay that says new card hardly used comes with programming instructions ?

Key cards cannot be reprogrammed to a different car.
ALso now you cannot get a card programmed, or purchase one, without proving ownership of the car to a Renault dealer.

It sounds as though your card is suffering from the common problem of one of the switches decoming detatched from the pcb. If you are careful you can open the cards with a stanley knife and re-solder the connections.
Several people have repaired their keycards in this way, saving lots of money.

If you do a search on this forum there is a bit more detail of how to carry out the repairs.
