Re: how do i change the sidelight bulb on my scenic 2007

The led ones are a direct replacement..course you can get capped(with glass ) and uncapped led also. The uncapped may have like 6-8 leds on a flat face or even more on a stick in that fitting.
The principle should be the same .. pull out the old bulb and insert the new.
If you dont have the old bulb holder in your hand with the bulb in it, you will have to pull it out with gentle twisting on mine.If the scenic has some seperate locking mechanism.. thats another story.

Oh test the bulb while the holder is out of the headlamp unit as the led's are sensitive to current direction. You may have to turn the bulb 180 degrees to get it to light.

Re: how do i change the sidelight bulb on my scenic 2007

That's great mate. But how do I locate the bulb. There does not seem to be any direct access to the bulb. The plug pulls downward but it plugs into a greyish plastic moulding that is an L shape. Assuming bulb is in here somewhere but don't know how to gain access. Help!!!!

The quickest way is take off front bumper 20 mins job . Undo the plastic screws on the top bumper, undo the three or four 10 mm bolts underneath it. And the two little bolt screws in both front wheel arches. Then the bumper should just pop off

Hi Speedyduck, I've just been reading you posts from last year. I'm looking to replace my h6w with LEDs but haven't found a set that work without flickering. Everything I've read on line assumes 501s are installed.
Did you manage to sort yours out and if so what did you use?
